The Reward Of Diligence – Proverb 4:10
Drama Message:[Scene opens with a young man, Alex, lounging on a couch, scrolling on his phone while his unfinished work lies scattered around him. His friend, David, walks in, looking concerned.]
David: (sighs) Alex, again? You missed another deadline at work. When will you take things seriously?
Alex: (shrugs) Relax, man. Things will work out somehow. I just don’t see the point in stressing myself.
David: (shakes head) That’s the problem. “Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.” (Proverbs 10:4). You keep giving half-hearted effort, and then you wonder why success keeps slipping away.
Alex: (defensive) It’s not like I’m not trying at all!
David: Trying without fully committing is just setting yourself up for failure. Success doesn’t come by wishing—it comes by deep and meaningful effort. You have to work hard, stay committed, and make sacrifices.
[Flashback shows Alex skipping classes in school, doing assignments last-minute, and losing job opportunities due to laziness.]
Alex: (sighs) Maybe you’re right. I keep expecting things to just fall into place without really putting in the work.
David: Exactly. Prosperity isn’t achieved by some magic wand. It’s built through diligence. When you give your best, success and satisfaction follow.
[Scene shifts to Alex waking up early, studying, working hard at his job, and finally receiving a promotion. He looks fulfilled.]
Narrator (over the scene): Success isn’t handed to you—it’s earned through diligence. Stop making excuses, stop half-hearted efforts, and start putting in the work. Laziness leads to lack, but disciplined hands build wealth and fulfillment. Commit to excellence, and let your hard work speak for you. A worthy life is built by those who refuse to settle for mediocrity. Life rewards those who are diligent. Put in the effort, stay focused, and you’ll enjoy living in success and satisfaction.
