DAILY COGNISANCE:
Shifting Doubt to Faith
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7.
Setting: A living room with four people discussing their struggles with faith while watching the news about current world situations.
Character 1 (James): (frustrated) It feels like every day we hear something that shakes our faith. I mean, is God really in control?
Character 2 (Lily): (concerned) I know it’s tough. But in 2 Timothy 1:7, it says: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Character 3 (David): (thoughtfully) But how do we make sense of that? It feels so distant when fears rush in.
Character 4 (Mary): (determinedly) We need to shift our mindset! Fear can cloud our vision, but if we truly believe in God’s power, we won’t let doubt take root in our hearts!
Character 1 (James): (sighing) It’s hard to see the genuine side of faith when so much evil surrounds us.
Character 2 (Lily): (encouragingly) But remember what God has done! He’s proven Himself faithful time and again. We must choose to focus on His love and strength rather than let anxiety shake our foundation.
Character 3 (David): (gathering courage) I think we can choose to share our struggles and lean on each other too. Doubt is so lonely!
Character 4 (Mary): (smiling) Absolutely! Let’s remember that our God is genuine, and He gave us power to overcome fear. Let’s walk boldly with faith!
(They end the discussion with a prayer, pledging to support each other as they step out in faith.)
Conclusion Narrator (Voiceover) : Shift your mindset! The Lord God Almighty is genuine and trustworthy. Embrace faith over fear. Stand firm, knowing that God equips us with power, love, and a sound mind!
