The Danger of ‘Enough’ – 2 Corinthians 9:8
Drama Message: [Scene: A well-dressed man, Elijah, declines a partnership offer from a younger colleague, Tunde.]
Tunde: Sir, this could double our impact! Imagine the jobs we’d create…
Your “enough” is not God’s ceiling. What feels sufficient today may not cover tomorrow’s needs—or the needs of those He’s called you to bless.
Abundance flows through obedience. If you stop moving when God says “Go further,” you block the channels of His provision. Purpose expands with responsibility. The more God entrusts to you, the greater your capacity to steward it—if you stay open and willing.
Don’t let comfort deceive you. True abundance isn’t measured by what you possess, but by what you’re willing to release for God’s kingdom. Stay hungry for His will, and watch what He does through your surrender.
“God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:8)
Elijah: (smug) Son, I’ve arrived. Why chase more?
Tunde: (passionate) Because “life to the full” (John 10:10) includes purpose! What good is wealth if it doesn’t change lives?
Elijah: (sarcastically) Is that your opinion?
Tunde: (realistically) Your next level of blessing is waiting—but it starts where your “enough” ends. No Limits In God. Abundance With Purpose
[Elijah’s phone rings—his daughter’s school fees are due, but his “enough” savings can’t cover the hike.]
Tunde: (gentle) See? Even your “enough” isn’t enough. God’s abundance multiplies when we move.
[Montage: Elijah invests, the business grows, and families are fed through new jobs.]
Narrator: Complacency is the thief of destiny. God’s abundance isn’t a trophy—it’s fuel for greater works.
[Text on screen:]

Don’t shrink your life to “just enough.” God’s abundance is a river—if it doesn’t flow through you, it stops at you.
