DAILY COGNISANCE:
Unshakeable Faith – Hebrews 11:1.
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1.
Setting: A park on a sunny day. Two sisters, Sarah and Lily, are having a picnic under a large tree. Sarah is flipping through a journal while Lily is sketching nearby.
Sarah: (looking up from her journal) Lily, do you think it’s possible to have unshakeable faith, especially with everything happening in the world right now?
Lily: (thinking) That’s a big question! What’s on your mind?
Sarah: (sighing) I feel like there are seasons of life where everything seems uncertain. But I want to have faith that stands firm, no matter what.
Lily: (nodding) You know, I’ve been reflecting on Hebrews 11:1, which says, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”
Sarah: (curiously) What does that mean when life gets tough?
Lily: (smiling) It means that our faith gives us confidence in God’s promises, even when we can’t see the outcome. It’s trusting that He’s working behind the scenes for our good.
Sarah: (inspired) So it’s about choosing to believe in His goodness, even during uncertainty.
Lily: Exactly! When we focus on His character and past faithfulness, it builds a firm foundation.
Sarah: (enthusiastically) That perspective makes me feel a lot more grounded. I need to remember those truths when I face challenges.
Lily: (grinning) Let’s commit to encouraging each other when one of us feels shaky. We can share promises from scripture that remind us of His faithfulness.
Sarah: (smiling brightly) I love that idea! An unshakeable faith isn’t just about personal belief; it’s about community too.
Lily: (nodding) Together, we can reflect on His goodness and strengthen each other’s faith!
(They share a laugh and continue their picnic, savouring both the food and their uplifting conversation.)
Conclusion:
Narrator (voiceover): In uncertain times, unshakeable faith begins with trusting in the unseen while holding on to God’s promises. As we lean on each other and embrace our faith, we build a strong foundation that prepares us for anything life brings. Remember, your faith can impact those around you; together, you can stand firm!
