DAILY COGNISANCE:
His Wisdom is Unmatched –
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
Setting: A cozy living room with two friends, Maria and John, sitting on the couch with cups of coffee. They seem deep in conversation.
Maria: (looking a bit frustrated) You know, John, I’ve been facing a tough decision lately. I feel so overwhelmed with uncertainty about what to do next in my life.
John: (leaning in) I hear you. It’s hard when you feel stuck. What’s on your mind?
Maria: (sighing) I’m trying to figure out whether to take this new job opportunity or stay at my current job. It feels like I keep asking everyone for advice, but I still don’t know what to decide.
John: (nodding) It can be challenging to sift through all the opinions out there. I think there’s something important to remember.
Maria: What do you mean?
John: (smiling gently) There’s a verse that reminds me about seeking wisdom in times like these. It’s in Proverbs 3:5-6. It says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
Maria: (thoughtfully) That’s true. I often try to figure everything out on my own.
John: Exactly! God’s wisdom is unmatched. Sometimes, we can’t see what’s best for us because we’re too close to the situation. But if we submit our decisions to Him, He will guide us.
Maria: (nodding) So instead of trying to control everything, I should pray and trust Him with my choices?
John: Yes! And it doesn’t mean you won’t face challenges. It means you have the assurance that He’s leading you. You’re not alone in this.
Maria: (smiling) I think I just needed to hear that. I’ll take some time this week to pray and seek His guidance.
John: That’s the spirit! And remember, whatever decision you make, God is with you every step of the way. His plans for you are good, and He knows what’s best.
Maria: Thank you, John. I feel much better already. I’m going to trust in His wisdom.
John: That’s the key! Let’s pray together right now for clarity and peace as you seek His will.
(They bow their heads to pray together as the lights dim.)
