DAILY COGNISANCE:

Stewarding Your Talents – Matthew 25:28 (NIV)
“So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags.”

Setting: A bustling market in an African city, filled with vibrant stalls selling various goods. The atmosphere is lively, with vendors calling out to customers. A community workshop is taking place nearby to help young people develop their skills.

Characters:

1.Amara: A talented young woman in her early 30s, passionate about art but hesitant to share her work.

2.Obinna: A confident mentor in his 40s, committed to inspiring others to recognize and use their gifts.

[Scene 1: AMARA is sitting alone at a stall, sketching quietly while others enthusiastically engage with the workshop. OBINNA notices her and approaches.]

Obinna: (smiling) Amara! Why are you hiding your talent here? I see you creating something beautiful!

Amara: (sighing) Thanks, Obinna. I love to draw, but I don’t think anyone would be interested in my art.

[Scene 2: OBINNA pulls up a chair and sits down next to her, encouragingly.]

Obinna: (gently) You know, Matthew 25:28 teaches us that when we neglect our gifts, we’re not using what God has given us. It’s important to share our talents with others!

Amara: (looking down) But what if I’m not good enough? What if people don’t like it?

[Scene 3: OBINNA leans in, his expression earnest and supportive.]

Obinna: (reassuringly) It’s not about being perfect, Amara. It’s about being faithful with what God has given you. Each of us has a purpose, and your art can inspire and uplift others.

[Scene 4: AMARA looks intrigued but still uncertain.]

Amara: (thoughtfully) Okay, but how do I even start sharing it?

Obinna: (pointing to the workshop) Start by participating! Show your work here, engage with others, and see how your art resonates!

[Scene 5: AMARA glances over at the workshop, where people are excitedly displaying their skills.]

Amara: (smiling slightly) I guess it does look fun… but what if no one pays attention?

Obinna: (confidently) Remember, every artist starts somewhere. What matters is your willingness to step out in faith. God will take care of the rest.

[Scene 6: AMARA takes a deep breath, sensing her determination growing.]

Amara: (nodding) You’re right. I want to honor God with my gifts. I’ll give it a try!

Obinna: (enthusiastically) That’s the spirit! Let’s showcase your work at the community event next week!

[Scene 7: The camera shows AMARA preparing her artwork with excitement as the workshop continues around her. The atmosphere shifts to one of support and collaboration.]

Narrator: (voiceover) Just like Amara, we are called to steward our talents wisely. When we obey God’s call to use our gifts and share them with the world, we fulfill our purpose and invite others into our journey of faith.
