Victory in Christ – 1 Corinthians 15:57

[Scene: A small community center. The stage is dimly lit, with a group of young people gathered around a table, visibly discouraged after losing a local sports game. Among them is Jamie, who looks particularly downcast.]

Liam: (looking at the group) I can’t believe we lost! We trained so hard for this. I thought we had a chance!

Sofia: (sighs) Yeah, I feel like all our efforts were in vain. What’s the point of trying if we can’t even win?

[Jamie, sitting apart from the group, suddenly speaks up.]
Jamie: (calmly) You know, I was thinking… It hurts to lose, but does that mean we’re defeated?

[The group turns to Jamie, curious.]

Liam: What do you mean?

Jamie: (smiling softly) Remember what 1 Corinthians 15:57 says? “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Sofia: (thoughtfully) Yeah, I know that verse, but it seems like victory is far away right now.

Jamie: (nodding) I get that. But victory isn’t just about winning a game; it’s about what we learn and how we grow through our struggles.

[Jamie stands up, gathering the group’s attention.]
Jamie: This loss doesn’t define us. Christ gives us victory over our fears, our doubts, and even our failures.

Liam: (reflecting) So you’re saying that even in losing, we can find strength and purpose?

Jamie: Exactly! Every setback is a setup for a comeback. We can use this experience to improve and come back stronger.

[Sofia stands, looking inspired.]
Sofia: You’re right! We can support each other and build on what we’ve learned.

Jamie: (smiling brightly) And remember, our true victory is in Christ. He has overcome the world, and through Him, we can rise above any challenge we face.

[The group cheers up, united and determined. The scene shifts to them practicing together, laughing, and working as a team.]

[Voiceover as the scene continues:] “True victory lies not in never falling, but in getting back up and moving forward, hand in hand with Christ.”

[The scene fades to black, with the words displayed on the screen:

“Victory in Christ empowers us to rise after every fall.”
